Is Moon Sweepers Worth It?
For $8.99, Moon Sweepers is a co-op factory wearing a toothbrush costume. The store label on 2 Nov 2026 was Mostly Positive. That label is doing a lot of work, so the counts come first.
| Cut | Date | Reviews | Positive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steam, outliers removed | 2 Nov 2026 | 4,718 | 78% (3,676 positive) |
| Steam, English filter | 2 Nov 2026 | 2,637 | 79% |
| IsThereAnyDeal | 2 Nov 2026 | 3,243 | 77% |
| GameMeca snapshot | 27 Oct 2026 | 1,362 | 78% |
What the praise and the complaints are about
The fantasy is easy to explain: one moon, shared with up to 16 people, dust that becomes money, machines that eventually sweep for you. DragDrop said the game passed 600,000 players by 30 Oct 2026, with a chart peak of 83,138. A two-person team shipping that is part of why the reviews stay kind even when the tools feel rough.
GameMeca, writing on 27 Oct, hit the building tools: you could not move a placed piece, and deleting one refunded only part of the cost. Patch 1.0.5 the next day added Move Mode on R and a full refund. I treat that review as fair for the build it played, and outdated for the refund complaint. Launch trouble is also in the developers' own note: a two-person team, a messy first weekend, then patches 1.0.3 through 1.0.5 inside five days.
Who should buy it
Buy it if a slow automation game at this price sounds like a weekend with friends, and if Windows is the machine you own. Skip it if you need a console, a Mac build, or a story with an ending. The December 2026 plan for version 1.1 adds machines, materials, tools, and more automation. That is a promise, not a feature you can play today. The free alternative is a different design on Roblox, compared here.

Questions
What percent of reviews are positive?
78 percent of 4,718 reviews on Steam's full cut with outliers removed, 2 Nov 2026. The English filter shows 79 percent of 2,637. IsThereAnyDeal showed 77 percent of 3,243 the same day.
Who is it for?
People who like a silly tool that grows into a factory, and friends who want 16-player co-op. It is a poor fit if you want a scored story or a console version.
Did the rough launch get fixed?
GameMeca's 27 Oct piece complained that buildings could not move and that removal wasted money. Patch 1.0.5 on 28 Oct added Move Mode and a 100 percent refund.
