Moon Sweepers Beginner Guide
The moon starts buried in dust. You are Lunar Surface Department, holding a toothbrush and an empty wallet. The ground is hexes. Four stations sit at North, East, West, and South, and you begin at North.
The first hour, in order
- Sweep the dust nearest North Station. Left mouse cleans. Q packs a capsule when the container is full. The toothbrush holds 0.5 kg and is 12 cm wide.
- Hold E at the deposit intake, fill the tray, and launch the sale. Dust pays $1 per kilogram.
- Buy Nail Brush ($5, 0.75 kg, 19 cm) or Hand Brush ($10, 1 kg, 25 cm) before any building.
- Tool Belt ($15) adds two quick slots. Rapid Transfer ($30) cuts deposit time by 25 percent. Wide Heads ($40) adds 8 percent width. Servo Stride ($50) adds 7 percent speed.
- Clear a whole sector for its bonus. Every world hex you finish also pays the crew $10. The sector bonus amount is not published, so I leave it blank.
- At $50 buy the building tool. At $100 place a Packager and read the belt guide before you pour money into a base.
Keys worth memorizing
F picks up, G scans, M opens the map, N toggles the lamp, Tab shows the scoreboard. In build mode, V opens the menu, X removes, and R moves. Patch 1.0.5 made R pick up a whole built piece, contents included, and put it down for free. Removal now refunds 100 percent. Before that patch, removal refunded 75 percent.
Crew and session controls
Searches for how to change rules do not match a documented rules screen, so this section answers the nearest real controls. From patch 1.0.3 the host can kick or ban from the crew menu on Escape. From patch 1.0.5, starting a public game warns you about what other people can do to your moon. Shared upgrades for the crew also arrived in 1.0.3.
Do not rush the factory
Household Broom is $25 (3 kg, 44 cm), Wide Broom $75, Extra Wide Broom $150. Those brushes still need you. The Packager is the first machine that can feed a station by itself. Market Contracts ($120) adds 6 percent launch payout once you are selling steadily. Night vision goggles arrived in 1.0.4 at $350 if the dark half of the cycle is slowing you down.
